Import the Digicert Certificate Authority

The ASA registers with Umbrella over HTTPS, which requires that you install a DigiCert intermediate certificate. You can import the certificate manually by pasting the certificate into the terminal.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Create a trustpoint for the Umbrella registration server. You can use any name you want for the trustpoint (up to 128 characters), such as ctx1 or umbrella_server.
ciscoasa(config)# crypto ca trustpoint ctx1
  1. Indicate that you want to manually enroll by pasting the certificate.
ciscoasa(config-ca-trustpoint)# enrollment terminal
  1. Import the certificate.

Enter the name of the trustpoint you created for this certificate. Follow the prompts and paste the base-64 encoded certificate, ending with the word "quit". Do not include the BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END CERTIFICATE lines.

The command displays a message indicating that the certificate was successfully imported.

To confirm that your device trusts the correct certificate, verify that the imported certificate includes the following:

  • Common Name—DigiCert TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1
  • Serial—0a3508d55c292b017df8ad65c00ff7e4
