Change a Trial

At any time during the trial period, you can update customer information including changing the package that the customer can trial. If you change a customer package, Umbrella permissions are immediately updated and upgraded functionality can be accessed.

  1. Navigate to Trial Management.

  1. Click the trial name or Expand icon to expand information about the customer trial.

  1. Click Edit, update information as necessary, and then click Update.
    Note: Because of the Partner console's integration with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW), you cannot change the customer's name or address information once a trial has started. To make this type of change, start a new trial.

  1. For Deal Information, click Edit, update information as necessary, and then click Update.
    If you change the Package selection, make sure that you maintain the minimum seat count.
    If you update the Number of Seats, make sure that you maintain the minimum seat count for the package being trialed.
  • Umbrella Professional—10 seat minimum
  • Umbrella Insights—10 seat minimum
  • Umbrella Platform—500 seat minimum
  • Cisco Umbrella for EDU—10 seat minimum.
    If you choose to give your primary distributer visibility into this trial, this third-party contact receives an email report every Monday documenting this trial's strength. If you have done so yet, add contact information for this distributor at Partner Settings > Contacts. For more information, see Add Distributer Contact Information.

  1. Click the Trial Name header at the top of the page to return to the Trial Management page and the list of trials.
    Note: Do not use browser's left arrow.
