This API is deprecated

Although the Legacy Network Device Registration API can still be used, it is no longer being updated and customers using this API will not get the benefit of any changes and improvements introduced. We recommend using the fully supported Cisco Umbrella APIs, listed here, for any new development.

The Legacy Network Device Registration API provides a way for networking hardware vendors to integrate their network devices with the Umbrella dashboard. After properly implementing this Registration API into a device, vendors can provide their end customers with the ability to have traffic passing through this device appear in the customer’s specific dashboard, and allow the customer to apply policies to this traffic.

Customers need only provide a single customer-specific token (obtained from their own Umbrella dashboard) to a device in order to have it appear in the dashboard as an Identity they can manage with policy and report against.
