Cisco Umbrella for MSSPs gives you, the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), the ability to provide and resell Umbrella security services to your customers. Umbrella for MSSPs is a cloud security platform that is built into the foundation of the internet and blocks requests to malicious or unwanted destinations before a connection is even established. With Umbrella for MSSPs, you stop threats over any port before they reach your clients’ network and endpoints.
To get started with the MSSP console, first determine Umbrella licensing and then add customer accounts. When determining how you will procure Umbrella licenses on behalf of your customers, your options are either through a Global Price List (GPL) or Managed Service License Agreement (MSLA). With GPL, new customers are first added as trials and then converted to a subscription. With MSLA, new customers are added immediately as subscriptions—there is no trial period. For more information about licensing, see Manage Licensing or contact your Umbrella sales representative and if you're not sure about which type of license to use, contact your Cisco Sales representative.
Note: Because MSLA is a zero cost feature that is only available when requested, this feature may not be available for your MSSP console. If you are interested in enabling this feature, contact your Cisco Sales representative.
