Wildcards and Domain Management
Every domain that you add to a domains list has an implied left side and right side wildcard. Wildcards support top-level domains (TLDs).
Domains List Entry | Implied Wildcard |
---|---|
domain.com | *.domain.com/* |
com | *.com/* |
www.domain.com | *.www.domain.com/* |
Adding domain.com to a domains list results in requests to domain.com or its subdomains, for example: www.domain.com or www.domain.com/path.
Known Limitations
- Umbrella does not support the following format of domains in domains lists:

- subdomain.*.com
