Option 2 is an integration that utilizes the Meraki Umbrella SD-WAN Connector. All of the initial configuration takes place in the Meraki dashboard. The full configuration process is documented in the Meraki Umbrella SDWAN Connector Deployment Guide.
Overview
Configuring tunnels using this option enables you to connect your Meraki MX to Umbrella in three steps.
- Connect to Cisco Umbrella.
- Choose DC pairs.
- Establish auto VPN tunnel to Umbrella.
Caveats
Do not manually delete the network tunnel from the Umbrella dashboard.
Do not remove the UMB-SIG node from its Meraki network (on the Security & SD-WAN > Appliance Status page. You must delete the integration in the same Meraki dashboard location where you created it: Cloud On-Ramps.
DNS policy is not supported over the SDWAN connector. If you want DNS policy please follow either step 2 or step 3, listed in the Meraki document above under the DNS policy considerations section.
