VPN Headend Deployment

Customers utilizing the Secure Client VPN functionality can deploy the Umbrella module directly from their VPN headend, a method known as web deployment. This configuration is performed on the VPN server.

  • Clients with existing AnyConnect Secure Client deployments can automatically download the Umbrella module and profile when they initiate a connection to the VPN.
  • Cisco Secure Client can also be installed through a self-service workflow, where each user visits the HTTP web portal hosted on the VPN headend.
  • This web deployment method allow you to update Cisco Secure Client and the Umbrella module software versions by centrally uploading new versions to the VPN server.
